Call for contributions: Xingzhi School's tenth anniversary

Time passes, and the torch is handed on. Since the Xingzhi School in Sweden was founded in 2016 we have worked devotedly in overseas Chinese-language education, carried the warmth of Chinese culture, and accompanied one cohort of students after another — a full ten years of work and perseverance.

In September 2026 the Xingzhi School marks its tenth anniversary. To capture ten years of fine moments, preserve the memory of the school's growth, and gather the sincere feelings of teachers, students and parents, we are opening a call for anniversary-themed contributions. We invite everyone to write, to capture something warm, and together to congratulate the school on its tenth year.

1. Theme

"Ten years hand in hand — Xingzhi and me"

2. Who may contribute

Current and former students, students' parents, all teaching staff, and anyone who has had any connection with the Xingzhi School.

3. Content

Work from the theme, keeping close to the life of the school and to the heart of learning Chinese. Create freely — some directions:

  1. Record the school's ten years of development, moments from its work, and how it has changed;

  2. Tell the story of your own path alongside the school — the experiences and reflections along the way;

  3. Share everyday stories and lessons learned as a parent supporting a child learning Chinese abroad and carrying the culture forward;

  4. Express what learning Chinese has meant to you, and your own thinking about language learning and overseas Chinese-language education;

  5. Share strong impressions, warm moments, amusing episodes and other memories connected with the school.

4. Format

The format is open, and we encourage variety:

  1. Writing: essays, reflections, narrative pieces, poems or other original text. No length limit — what matters is that it is genuinely felt;

  2. Video: original short films, commemorative pieces and the like. Tell a story or record a few words. Picture and sound should be clear, length is free, the content complete;

  3. Art and calligraphy: painting, posters, calligraphy and other original flat works. Style and size are free;

  4. Photographs: personal photos showing a child's time and growth at the school, along with photos of objects that carry a memory.

5. Timing

From the date this notice is published until 1 September 2026.

6. How to submit

Send all entries to the school's official email address. In the subject line, please state: Tenth Anniversary Call + name + role (student/parent/teacher) + title of the work, and include a short description of the work and the thinking behind it in the body of the message.

7. Other notes

  1. All entries must be original. Plagiarism or use of others' work is not permitted; should any copyright dispute arise, the author bears responsibility;

  2. By submitting, you grant the Xingzhi School in Sweden the right to use the work in anniversary exhibitions, announcements and similar non-commercial, public-interest communication;

  3. The school will select, display and recognise outstanding entries, and preserve them as valuable commemorative material from these ten years.

Ten years on the Xingzhi road, each year with warmth. We look forward to every sincere contribution, and to their becoming together the school's warmest answer to ten years. Let the works be our language: let us remember what has been, celebrate the anniversary, and set out together on what comes next.
