“Huaxing Young Reporters” (华星小记者) station opens at Xingzhi School Sweden

With the approval of the relevant bodies of the China Overseas Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation (中国华文教育基金会), Xingzhi School Sweden has become a participating organisation in the “Huaxing Young Reporters” (华星小记者) programme and has established its own reporter station.

To promote Chinese culture, encourage exchange and mutual learning between Chinese and other cultures, and strengthen the ability of young people of Chinese heritage overseas to express themselves in Chinese, the China Overseas Chinese Language and Culture Education Foundation has run the “Huaxing Young Reporters” programme since 2022. Its aim is to build the young participants' command of spoken and written Chinese and to help them tell multicultural stories in the voice and the social idiom of their own generation, so that they can become a link in cultural exchange and dialogue between China and the wider world. Since it began, the programme has set up close to 40 young reporter stations around the world.
