On 30 and 31 May, the final teaching day and closing ceremony of the spring term 2026 were held in turn across Xingzhi School's Chinese classes. From the rooms at the Sollentuna campus to every group large and small in the "Xingzhi Online Classroom", laughter could be heard everywhere as Xingzhi students from Stockholm and across Sweden took part in lively competitions and games under their teachers' guidance — bringing a term full of achievement to a fitting close.

In the "Jinbang Timing" class, Liu Qiyu and Li Meiyi, both already in upper secondary school, gave a talk sharing what they have learned about spending sensibly and saving money during those years.

In the "Manhan Quanxi" class, students thoroughly enjoyed a comedy video written and performed by their own classmates.

Under Teacher Tan Jianfen's guidance, the Xingyun class moved the lesson out to the sports field, reinforcing what they had learned in Chinese through athletic competition.

The closing ceremonies in each class were full of life: "character champion", "quickest to answer", "recitation star"... Based on each child's work over the term, the teachers of the younger classes handed out certificates with different titles, marking the children's progress step by step.

Each class, in proportion to its size, selected recipients of the "Xingzhi Scholarship" across categories such as "best overall", "greatest improvement", "hardest working day to day", "best writing" and "best recitation". This term, 101 students across the school received the "Xingzhi Scholarship".

The scholarship recipients in the "Zhixing Heyi" class received not only an honour but an unexpected pleasure: a citation written by Teacher Cathy Gou.

The term just ended has brought Xingzhi a rich set of results:

The 11th Stockholm children's New Year gala was held successfully, with over 400 people attending;

27 students and 10 teachers won awards at the 26th World Chinese Students' Writing Competition, and we retain the best result in the Nordic region for the tenth consecutive year;

We hosted the Swedish leg of the Global Chinese Recitation Competition for the second year running, with over 437 students in the qualifying round and 27 reaching the final;

In partnership with Wenzhou University's Overseas Chinese College, we became that university's research base for overseas Chinese-language education;

With the support of dedicated parents, the school's website https://xzxt.se/ went live;

A new school board was formed, and a meeting of all its members was held to contribute ideas and effort to the school's work.

In Teacher Xiao Yong's advanced online class, three students will soon graduate from upper secondary school and go on to university. During the lesson he explained the origins and the fine meanings of the characters in their three names, and everyone applauded and offered their good wishes.

After the closing ceremony, each class teacher sent a summary to the parents' group as usual, along with study tasks for the summer. Parents queued up to thank the teachers — warm and rather touching.
