Our students' writing selected for an official publication

“Under the Same Sky: Selected Prize-Winning Overseas Entries from the World Chinese Students' Composition Competition” (《天涯共此时——世界华人学生作文大赛海外获奖作品精选》) has been published jointly by Hebei Publishing & Media Group, Hebei People's Publishing House and China Overseas Chinese Publishing House.

The book collects 100 pieces from close to 90 Chinese schools around the world, covering the best overseas prize-winners from the 20th through the 26th edition of the competition — young overseas Chinese writers in their own words on homeland, growing up, culture and the world.

Three students from Xingzhi School Sweden are included, more than from any other Chinese school.

They are:

刘亦宸, “Mountains and Seas, and It Feels Just Right” (《山海情 好滴很》), Grand Prize in the 22nd World Chinese Students' Composition Competition

邓翔睿, “Befriending Books Is a Boundless Joy” (《与书交友 其乐无穷》), Grand Prize in the 23rd World Chinese Students' Composition Competition

韩稻稻, “Talking Strategy over the Board: It Starts with Six Straight Losses” (《纹枰论道，从“六连败”开始》), Grand Prize in the 25th World Chinese Students' Composition Competition

The World Chinese Students' Composition Competition was first held in 2000 and has now run 26 times. It is the only world-level composition competition approved by China's Ministry of Education.

Xingzhi School Sweden has entered every year since it was founded in 2016 — ten years running — and has won 4 Grand Prizes, 16 first prizes, 21 second prizes and 17 third prizes, the best record of any entrant from Sweden.
