A warm meeting to look forward to
I worked in education at one of China's leading universities, and later as a project manager at a well-known electric vehicle company — eleven years on the front line, in teaching as well as in practice. That experience taught me that whether you are passing on knowledge or running a project, the heart of it is always people: understanding what they need, drawing out what is in them, and making growth possible.
Now I am about to begin a new teaching chapter at Xingzhi, and I look forward to it with both anticipation and warmth. I am outgoing and enjoy talking with people — a sociable sort who loves life and loves children. Continuing to learn and explore is a habit of mine, and I hope to bring that energy and curiosity into the Chinese classroom.
Going forward I will hold to the school's four guiding principles — let culture lead the way, teach according to each student, unite knowledge with action, and teach students how to fish for themselves — and value every step we take together, myself, the school and the students. I want to accompany each student with warmth, patience and strength, take an active part in Chinese-language education here, and in working with the children be inspired by them as we grow together.
I believe education is a warm meeting. Let us gain knowledge together — and more than that, the joy of growing forward.
